Eagle's Loop™ - multi-use trail 
An easy loop for the beginner biker. Access from the Eagle Bahn Gondola. Great views of Mount of the Holy Cross and the Gore Range; 1 mile (1.6 km).
Upper Fireweed™ - multi-use trail 
A beautiful, beginner bike trail from Eagle's Nest to Mid-Vail; 1.2 miles (1.9 km).
Gitalong Road™
A winding trail following the winter ski-down route provides a pleasant alternative to Village Trail. Gravel road most of the way ; 5 miles (8km).
Cub's Way™ 
Gravel road connecting Fred's Lunch to Lion Down; 1.5 miles 2.4 km).
Village Trail™ - multi-use trail 
Eastern route down from Eagle's Nest to Vail Village or Lionshead. Gravel road most of the way. Outstanding views of the Gore Range and Vail Valley; 7 miles (11.3 km).
Fred's Lunch™ 
Winding your way down from Mid-Vail, this intermediate trail provides wonderful views of the Gore Range. The trail is primarily double track; 3.2 miles (4.8 km).
Grand Traverse™
Described as the jewel of Vail Mountain, this rolling trail offers stunning views of Vail's famous Back Bowls. The trail starts with 1.5 miles of easier terrain that becomes more difficult. Trail may only be accessed from Eagle's Nest or at the connector at Wildwood; 5.3 miles (8.5 km).
Grand Traverse™/Grand Escape™ Loop
A challenging loop for the intermediate rider, this trail heads out from Eagle's Nest, climbs the ridge to the top of Game Creek Bowl, winds up and around Wildwood. It connects there to Grand Escape and heads downhill back to Eagle's Nest. The top of this ridge features great views of Mount of the Holy Cross, the Gore and 10 Mile Mountain Ranges; 4 miles (6.10 km).
Mid-Vail Escape™
Winding your way down form Patrol Headquarters, this intermediate trail provides wonderful views of the Gore Range. The trail is primarily double track; 2.2 miles (3.5 km).
Krazy Kangaroo™ 
A challenging single track connecting Grand Escape to Mid Vail; 1.5 miles (2.4 km)
Lion Down™ - multi-use trail 
It is downhill all the way form Eagle's Nest to Lionshead or Vail Village. This beautiful, secluded winding intermediate trail takes you on a single track through aspen and spruce on the western side of the mountain and is one of the best areas for viewing wildlife; 6 miles (9.7 km).
South 6™ 
A challenging single track excursion off Village Trail; .75 miles (1.2 km).
Bad Simba™ 
Formerly part of the Lionshead Loop, this steep expert single track is .75 miles (1.2 km).
Kloser's Klimb™
Test yourself against the world's best on a expert 1,000-foot climb from Eagle's Nest to Patrol Headquarters at the summit; 2.4 miles (3.9 km).
Mane Lane™
Formerly part of the Lionshead Loop, this is a steep expert single track which can be used as a side route on Lion Down; .6 miles (1 km).
World Championship Cross Country Courses
Vail's highly acclaimed World Championship Mountain Bike/Cross-Country race course is composed of three expert distinct loops: Lionshead (LH) Loop, Vail Village (VV) Loop and Golden Peak (GP) Loop. Each loop offers a variety of terrain and technical challenges with both uphill and downhill opportunities, including single track, 4X4 trails and mountain service roads. The loops can be ridden individually or as a series.
Magic Forest™
Starts at Eagle's Nest and works its way down to Cubs Way. This expert single trace winds its way through the woods with several drop-offs and challenging terrain features.
'94 Downhill™
Proper downhill equipment is highly recommended on this "double-black" trail. The 1995 World Championship Downhill racecourse is a difficult combination of steep descents and technical single track that begins at Mid-Vail and ends at Golden Peak; 3.8 miles (6.11 km)
