May is almost over, which signals the end of nearly a month of strange weather. This Sunday it was almost 80 degrees. Yesterday, it snowed. We have had over 2 feet of snow this month. But today seems to mark the beginning of a stretch of beautiful weather for us for a while. Memorial Day is just around the corner and this weekend should be a wonderful time to visit Vail.

If you get the chance, come see the Teva Mountain Games here in town starting June 6. You will see astonishing skill on display in kayaking, rock climbing (my daughter may be competing), rafting, cycling and even dog stunts! Plus there will be lots of bands playing throughout the weekend. This is the best kick-off to the summer season here!

In regards to real estate, April 2010 posted an astonishing 225% increase over April 2009 in dollar volume of sales and a 215% increase in the number of transactions. As I have said before, this doesn't by any means suggest the market is back to normal. If we even know what normal is. But it does demonstrate that prices have hit the bottom or close enough that buyers are back in the market and picking up great deals. And there are great deals to be found!
