It's strange to see so much snow on Vail and Beaver Creek mountains but have almost no one in town. Today I walked down Bridge Street and stopped right in front of Gorsuch. I turned 360 degrees slowly to notice I was the only one on the street. Most of the shops and restaurants are closed and there is no one milling about. I expected tumbleweed to roll by and even maybe a cowboy on a horse to challenge me to a gunfight! Of course, that didn't happen. I was enjoying the peacefulness of the place.

I also quickly realized that quiet would turn to chaos very soon again once June gets here. With the events we have going on this summer, the throngs will be back in town before I know it. Click here to see all the Vail Valley events set to begin soon.

Events will include the Vail International Dance Festival which brings some of the world's finest ballet and modern dancers to the Ford Amphitheater - one of the world's most beautiful and intimate entertainment venues. In addition, come to the Amphitheater to see classical music and Hot Summer Nights Free concerts every Tuesday night throughout the summer! HSN is not to be missed...

Also enjoy the Beaver Creek Rodeo in Avon every Thursday night, camping, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, western shows and food at Piney River Ranch up the road from Vail in the Gore Range and July 4th celebrations in Vail and Avon (Avon has the State's largest fireworks display).
