Plenty of Time to Ski!

For the first time in many years, Vail Mountain is going to stay open later. Beaver Creek Mountain closes on its normal date of April 7 but Vail closes April 24th, a full week later than usual. Between the incredible snowfall (over 400 inches thus far this season) and Easter being so late this year, we are blessed to gain some extra ski time. My guess is this will be one of those years where the mountain could be skiable well into May. So once Vail closes, it'll be on to Arapahoe Basin to get the last days in for the season. Today we got a foot of snow on Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains! So my guess is late season skiing in the Rockies will be phenomenal!

Spring Back to Vail
Spring Back to Vail is Vail's huge end-of-the-season bash with free concerts from national headliners, on-snow events and street parties. It is essentially the Mardi Gras of the Vail Valley! Running from April 15-24, this event features the infamous pond-skimming contest at Golden Peak and concerts performed by bands such as Train, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, The Greyboy Allstars, Stephen Marley, Chris Velan and the Sierra Leone's Refugee Allstars! To register for the pond-skimming (you know you want to) and to see the detailed event calendar, click here.
