No, those are not the measurements of the cover girl on the new Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (thankfully) but they are real measurements of recent snowfall in Vail. In the last 7 days, Vail and Beaver Creek received 28". So far this year, we've received 200". And now Vail's base is 52".

This is a far cry from the numbers just a couple of weeks ago. But between the 30 inches we received around MLK weekend and the 28" now, this mountain looks like it's supposed to! The way I see it, the selling season for this winter will be over in 6 weeks. And although there are great deals now, there might be better ones coming mid-April through all of May. I am getting more desperate calls from listing brokers begging me to submit an offer on their properties (whether I have a buyer for their home or not). And the good thing is there are true, legitimate and worthy deals available now.

In regards to new developments in the Vail area, Solaris is still on target for completion this spring with closing occurring over 3 phases: April, May and June. The last residence in that building to go under contract was a year ago. And it was also the first one in a year. So only one property in Solaris has gone under contract in 2 years! (I was the broker on the deal).

The Four Seasons is still set to close next fall under the guidance of the new general contractor. Because the developer realized that buyers under contract on Four Seasons residences could terminate their agreements and get full refunds of their earnest money due to the contractor change mid-project, all Buyers were offered approximately 30% off their original purchase price. Not surprisingly, most buyers took the offer.
